Tour Covington Kentucky Historic Homes for Sale

15 Covington, Kentucky historic homes will be on display during the 2007 Rehabarama tour this Sunday, June 10th. Buy $5 tickets to attend the tour of the historic Covington neighborhood at 6th and Main and at Pike Street Press at 222 W. Pike Street in Covington. Tickets to the Kentucky historic home tour include a shuttle bus pass.

Rely on your parking karma to find a spot on the street in Mainstrasse, or just use the 5th street lot (it's free).

Looks like they sold over 180 tickets (as estimated by one volunteer who was at the Pike St. Press). I wouldn't be surprised if the total number of folks walking through exceeded that.

I'd say it was a successful event. I met a lot of nice folks and saw some interesting places. I'm thinking we'll join the ranks this year.

I think its great that the event went well. In my area, old buildings and historic homes, horse farms and real estate are all getting devoured by expanding development. Its starting to become the the "McMansion" syndrome. Horse farms, and farmland are getting consumed, and turned into 2-5 acre lawns - which ironically enough are just large enough to be a pain to take care of - and just small enough that you really can't do anything with it productively. I've been attempting to inform persons of this dilemna at: www.KYHorseBlog.com www.KYHorseChat.com www.KYHorseProperties.com I think we should adopt similar policies that Europe has been using for years. They have limited sprawl and maintained dense urban populations, while retaining their farmland.
